The dog parks at Colonial Park are fantastic and a daily visit for my girlfriend's dog. There is plenty of open space for dogs to run around and play. The park is always very clean and there is a separate fenced area for tiny dogs so they don't have to worry about being roughhoused by larger dogs. The space is so big that you can play with your dog generally uninterrupted, or let the dogs all play with each other.

It usually stays clean and lots of poop bags are available. Very large area for all dogs and a new area for small dogs. Bring your own water.
While the park is large and there and there are always dogs here, more often than not it's just too many dogs. Too many dogs then translates to owners that aren't attentive. Too many unaltered dogs (sometimes it only takes one) coming and going also pose a problem - WHICH IS A HUGE NO-NO at a dog park, friendly or not. The perimeter fences have also not been addressed in some time, so if you have a medium/small escape artist, be prepared to do a lot of patrolling/policing, and maybe even retrieving. I want to love this park, but I just can't. The park itself is not bad, like I said large so plenty of room to run around, but it's unfortunately the community that drives the rating down for me.
The only reason I give a 2-star rating is for the size. Beyond that it's muddy, people do not control or pick up after their dogs, and there are constant fights. No water supply on top of that. I'll keep looking.
